Welcome to the Weatherford ISD Child Nutrition Department web site! The mission of our department is to provide healthy, appealing food and encourage good nutritional choices! Our meals and snacks follow the Dietary Guidelines for Americans, and we support you in your efforts to live a healthy, active lifestyle. We hope you will find the website information helpful to you. The mission of the Weatherford Independent School District is to teach, challenge and inspire each student in a safe, nurturing environment. Your children are the reason we are here, and we love to serve them! Beginning February 21, 2012, we will have a new computerized system for cashiering called Nutrikids. We will replace the LunchMoneyNow link with a link to MYNUTRIKIDS.COM, which uses PayPal. All existing meal account balances will be transferred. The transaction fee will decrease to $1.75. To view a video of how to use the Nutrikids system, please go to this link: http://www.nutrikidsonline.com/MYNUTRIKIDS/Learn_More/MyKids/mk.html

Please be aware that pre-payments for school meals can be made in two ways: 1. By cash, money order, or check to your school Cafeteria Manager between the hours of 7 am - 1:30 pm. Because all of the point-of-sale computers connect, you may pay for several children at various WISD schools at a single location, if you desire. Please write your children's names, student ID numbers, and the amount you wish to deposit to each one's account. 2. Online with a debit or credit card, 24 hours a day, through our website link "Lunch Money Now". NOTE: This will change to PayPal near the end of February 2012.
Also, please note that the Texas Public School Nutrition Policy (TPSNP) has set regulations regarding what foods and beverages may be made available on school campuses during the regular school day but not what parents provide to their own children. For more information, please see the Texas Administrative Code, Title 4, Part 1, Chapter 26, Subchapter A, Rule 26.7:
| (b) This subchapter does not restrict what parents may provide for their own child's lunch or snacks. Parents may provide FMNV or candy items for their own child's consumption, but they may not provide restricted items to other children at school. A school may adopt a more restrictive rule, however, as local policy.
